Mechanical Engineering department was established in 1951 with 60 students intake each year. There are 2 Professors, 2 Associate Professors and 15 Assistant Professors in Mechanical Engineering Department.
The Department has well equipped Thermal Engineering, Dynamics, Hydraulics, workshop, Metrology, Metallurgy, Automobile, Refrigeration & Air - Conditioning, Alternate sources of Energy, Heat transfer and Computer laboratories.
A separate computer centre with TV and Audio visual aids is available. Recently department purchase CREO software (Design and Modeling software). Under TEQIP-ll project, Department purchase various laboratory equipments and software.
