About Department:

Civil Engineering Department running B. E. Civil and M. E Civil (WRM) Courses with intake of 120 & 18 students respectively.

The Department is having well equipped labs & also having two Drawing halls for the drawing practices. Students are involved in projects, study tours, technical paper presentation , seminars, model creation and workshops.

Labs


Failed to connect to mysqli: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
Computer laboratory is well equipped with 30 systems. All systems are highly configured. The following are the facilities in computer lab for the UG students and PG students.
  • Windows operating system
  • Arc gis software is installed
  • Scanning  facility is available
  • Departmental library is available
  • Internet connection is available
  • E-library facility is available
  • 10.30 to 5.00 clock students are using the available facilty
  • Guidance of faculty is always available for students
  • Laptop is available for faculty

Is well equipped to test water, waste water and air samples for pollutions & different characteristics - Physical, chemical and Biological Characteristics. Water treatment and Waste Water treatment plants models are also demonstrated before actual field visit. Experiments related to following equipment are conducted:

  • Turbidity Removal
  • BOD Incubator
  • Barometers
  • Flocculator
  • TDS & PH meter

Large number of Rock and mineral samples are available. Models showing geological formation of rocks for faults, folds, joints, dip and strike are available. Microscope for observation of rocks and minerals is used. 

Is well equipped with all surveying and leveling instruments of conventional methods and advance surveying techniques. Conventional equipment like dumpy level, compass, theodolite, planimeter, geodetic base line equipment etc.  Advanced equipments like Total Station, GPS, Auto level, Digital theodolite, Digital Planimeter etc are available for UG Students of Semester 2, Semester 3 & Semester 4.

The laboratory is meant for tests on Materials used for Road construction viz-a-viz Aggregates, Bitumen and soil etc. The tests carried out are:

  • Aggregate Impact Test
  • Los angeles Abrasion Test
  • Specific Gravity and Water Absorption test
  • Shape Test
  • Deval Attrition test
  • Standard penetration Test for Bitumen
  • Softening point test
  • Flash and Fire point test
  • Ductility test
  • Viscosity test

Is well equipped with Computer system, Multimedia projector, net connectivity, BISAG Disc, Podium and a High resolution Television screen for presentations & multimedia teaching for UG & PG Students & faculties. 

All fluid mechanics practical covering the subjects- fluid mechanics, applied fluid mechanics, Advanced fluid mechanics and Hydrology at under graduate and post graduate level are acquired recently in TEQIP-2 scheme. The experiments carried out are:
