About the Department:
A generation of Engineering with a
scientific outlook towards life, work and society through an objective,
nonpartisan understanding of scientific reality with humanitarian values.
The
General Department teaches and promotes practical aspects of Applied Sciences
and Humanities to build a solid foundation as part of the Engineering
Education. The department prepares students for core engineering branches by
educating them in the basic sciences of physics, chemistry and mathematics in the
first year.
Mathematics
is indispensable for the engineering community. Students use mathematics
to understand and solve engineering problems. The teaching staff of the
department have published many papers in national and international journals.
The area of research are Fractional Differential Equations, Numerical Methods,
Fluid Dynamics, Optimization Methods and Graph Theory.
Physics
is crucial to the understanding of the world around us. Physics encompasses the
study of the universe from the largest galaxies to the smallest subatomic
particles. Physics is the basis of many engineering courses. The department of
physics offers Engineering Physics courses to all engineering programs in
semester 1 and 2.
Like
Physics, many of engineering subjects depend on chemistry. The faculty members
for chemistry are committed to the students and to research. The teaching staff
of the department have published many papers on chemistry in national and
international journals.
The
English Communication skills laboratory is an integral part of the department.
Students receive training in written and verbal communication essential to
succeed in the work place.
Posts filled:
Associate Professor - 2, Assistant Professor - 9

Language Lab was established in L. E. College, Morbi in 2014. It’s an
initiative of government of Gujarat. It aims at improving the language of
students for professional communication. The lab has been established in the
campus itself and offers CPT level for students and is a centre for online
examination. As the college has been chosen as a centre thus students of the
college have an advantage as they avail the facility at the college campus
itself. Infrastructure vise lab consists of 26 computer units and a server for
the same and last year that is in the year 2016-17 more than 100 students have
successfully cleared the examination conducted by SCOPE.
