As per the directives of AICTE, MHRD and Supreme Court of India., the head of the institute is happy to constitute Women's Development Cell at L. E. College of Engineering Morbi with following members to provide and maintain the campus intolerance against sexual harassment and provide healthy environment for female teaching and non-teaching members and girl students to explore their potential fullest at workplace.
Please find below the basic objectives of the women cell :
• To evolve a permanent mechanism for the prevention and prohibition of sexual harassment cases and making them aware about the guidelines of Supreme Court and to ensure that sexual harassment is treated as an unacceptable social behavior within the institution and in the society.
• To ensure the implementation of the policy through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures
• The women cell aims to empower women by identifying strong leadership quality and change makers among women and facilitate in building their capacity
• Develop a culture of respect and gender-based equality in the society
• Impart opportunities and programs for female gender to help them financially, mentally, and emotionally empowered in the society

The main functions of women cell are illustrated below :
To look after all the activities and issues related to women at institute
To look into all the grievances of women students/employees of institute and provide anti-sexual harassment in the campus
To organize activities/seminars/etc. for sensitizing faculty and students about gender issues
To organize seminars, functions, workshops related to the overall development of the girls and women members of the institute
